An Introduction
This is the first 'proper' post on this new blog.
Now, to be fully transparent, this introduction I'm actually typing right now, will likely be one of the few genuine posts I actually sit down to write, myself.
As part of my overall project, I've decided to implement some automation that creates posts for me. That's right, all done automatically.
I'll get into 'how' in another post, but the 'why' is that the purpose of the blog is to keep the website 'fresh', and to ensure that it's picked up by search engines, scrapers, etc. I've got a series of systems where I work on various elements of my infrastructure, and part of that automation looks at work done in a given day, and summarises it into a blog post for me.
All I need to do is check it, and then more automation takes care of posting it to the blog in the proper format, with the proper tags.
So, with that said, enjoy this first post, introduced by me, a human person, but mostly written by various types of AI/LLM and automation. Thanks for reading!
Building the Future of Automation: Progress on AI-Integrated Workflow
As we continue to push the boundaries of infrastructure automation and AI integration, today marked significant progress on various fronts. I've made substantial headway in implementing labeling and lifecycle management for job search cards, generating an end-of-day summary system for blog posts, and transforming my personal blog into a functional platform.
Labeling and Lifecycle Management
I've made notable strides in developing a comprehensive labeling and lifecycle management system for Planka's job search cards. This new feature will enable me to categorize rejected opportunities with specific reasons, facilitating periodic reviews based on skill development. The implementation of this system is crucial for streamlining my workflow and ensuring that I'm always up-to-date on the skills required for future projects.
Automated End-of-Day Summary
The next major accomplishment was setting up an automated end-of-day summary system. This innovative solution leverages my "Discord Brain Dump" messages to generate blog-ready content, effectively freeing up time for more strategic tasks. The integration with n8n automation workflows has been a key aspect of this project, allowing me to tap into the vast potential of AI-powered data processing.
Revamping My Personal Blog
Finally, I've made considerable progress in transforming my personal blog (blog.aj-desk.com) into a fully functional platform. Leveraging existing web hosting containers and infrastructure, I'm excited to bring this project online and share my insights with the community on a regular basis.
Lessons Learned
Throughout these projects, I've been struck by the importance of meticulous planning and integration testing. The seamless interaction between various tools and platforms has allowed me to build a robust foundation for future growth. Moreover, I've come to appreciate the value of automating repetitive tasks, freeing up time for high-level decision-making and strategic development.
What's Next
As we look forward to the coming weeks and months, several exciting projects are on the horizon:
- Further refinement of labeling and lifecycle management
- Enhanced integration with AI-powered tools for improved data analysis
- Regular blog posts featuring insights from my Planka workflow
